"Yeah," Jason gasps and feels some of the startled tension leach from his body. No one's going to try anything with Steve looming over him, and Jason allows himself a moment to assess the damage - scraped shoulders, bruised back, splinters likely in places he'd rather not consider - and a curious lack of pain in his chest. Whatever forced him through the wall ought to have left a crater where his lungs are, but there's nothing. It doesn't make any sense. His ears hurt.

"Something hit me, did you see it?"
